Sun, glorious sun! Please, on behalf of all of London and the UK – please never leave! Stay sunny and give us an actual Summer! The weather has been so glorious recently I can’t get over it! Of course it was pretty boiling at the weekend – a bucket load of SPF is needed – but zero complaints from me. Sun and heat, bring it on! In celebration of the gorgeous sunshine I decided to go for an all over bronze look using a few of my current favourites…
For a sheer, light but flawless base I’ve been absolutely loving the Dior BB Cream – shade 02 (Available from Escentual) – it evens out skin and leaves it looking better than before, but without being overly shiny or overly matte. Just a lovely skin looking base.
For a little added concealing I used Benefit Fake Up (Available from Benefit.co.uk) – which I love for a really hydrating under eye concealing effect. I’ve been using the light shade but might ‘upgrade’ to medium for the later Summer months now I have a bit of colour.
I’ve kept things simple on the rest of the face – a wash of YSL bronzer in Terre Saharienne* (01) (Available from Debenhams) for a light bit of colour on the cheeks. On the eyes I have Sunday Riley Prismasilk Eyeshadow in ‘Twig’* (Available from Cult Beauty) – I am absolutely loving this shadow, a gorgeous colour is a taupey/olive brown shade with shimmer but not glitter. I also have a bit of a thing for Sunday Riley, simply because we share a name… plus this one is light enough to add colour and definition but light enough to keep the look natural. For mascara I used my current favourite – Bobbi Brown Intensifying Long Wear Mascara in black* (Available from Debenhams). This mascara is great for lasting all day long without flaking or smudging and offers a lighter look if you want or you can build it to something stronger with a few coats.
On the lips I went for a combo of NARS Satin Lip Pencil* in Biscayne Park (Available from Space NK), a warm slightly pink nude then topped it off with Clarins Instant Light lip perfector in Rosewood Shimmer* (Available from Clarins.co.uk) – the brownest of the new trio of shades that launched. It’s not my favourite shade of the range, but fit well with the overall bronze look.
So there we have it – a Summery bronze look!
