L’Occitane Amande Velvet Body Range

It’s not very often that I use a product and my first impression has me reaching for my laptop to rave about it. I usually like to give things a few tries and form a solid opinion before I blog… but these have totally won my heart over and made me want to rave about them from first use.  These are two new additions to the L’Occitane Amande Velvet Body Range and both promise silk soft skin…like velvet in fact.

Of course Amande is Almond and you may already know how much I love the Almond Shower Oil from L’Occitane. I love the scent, so that won me over and then when you throw in some silky soft skin and I’m very happy. Both of these new additions promise a ‘youthful body’…ok, sold.

They may not be able to really promise me Kendall Jenner like limbs but what I found they do is they smooth and hydrate so that my very own (slightly more substantial than Kendall’s) limbs are hydrated to the point of being a bit glowy and feel a bit more taut/toned than in reality they actually are. Placebo or temporary effect it may be, all I know is that I love how my skin looks and feels after using these.

The Serum is (as you would expect) the lighter of the two products. But I have taken to layering these so I use the serum all over first and then add the Velvet Balm to finish. Leaving skin hydrated and feeling good – without any clammy sort of feeling afterwards. You’re ready to put clothes on basically straight away.

I think these are a great pair of products to get your mitts on if you’re not bothered or into fake tanning for Summer but just want the skin you have to look and feel it’s very best. On just one use my skin was feeling ace so totally recommend them. Plus they smell gorgeous too… in fact as I’m typing this I have been gradually slathering myself in it. Can’t get enough.

Glowy limbs without the need to tan sounds like my kinda product. A body serum isn’t something I’ve though of trying before perhaps it could be layered under any product…?
