Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque

When it comes to lipstick, I love a bright colour – but I often want to get that bright colour without the feeling of wearing anything and wanting minimal maintenance or touch ups needed. So when I hear there’s a light weight offering that gives colour, a light feel and a bit of a stain effect at the same time… then I’m listening. These are the Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque and they’re rather lovely.

These Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque create a sort of lipstick, lip-balm, lipgloss hybrid. With a watery feeling texture which reminds me of the YSL Glossy Stains and the initial effect on the lips is very similar. The colour is sheer to start with, but build-able if you want some more intense colour (as I’ve done in the lip swatch below).

This trio of shades gives a good little peek at the range available  there’s a nude, a red and a pink. So we have 01 Appechissant (nude), 06 Feeling reddy (red) and 07 Fucshia perche (pink). A good trio if you want a capsule lip collection.

Above the trio of shades are swatched (L-R 01, 06, 07) with my personal favourite of the three, 07 layered up to show how it looks when layered up on the lips for some more intense colour. My favourite of the Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque formula is the fact that it’s so lightweight and easy to wear. Perfect for the warmer days of Spring and Summer when the last thing you want is to be faffing with your lipstick when you could be out and about having fun!

I have just done a review on my blog of these liquid lipsticks, they are fantastic. I love that they are so versatile in being able to have quite a sheer amount on your lips but then they are really buildable too.

I love how red is always an all time favorite all year round that doesn’t go out of style or dated. They would indeed be a friendlier on the price range comparing to the YSL ones! thanks for sharing (:
