Five Product Face #1

Five product face – because sometimes, keeping it quick and simple is the way forward. And by sometimes, I mean all the time. Sure, sometimes I branch out and use a few extras – but when it comes to beauty, believe it or not – I don’t like to over do it. Or take too long, or cake on the product. Which I probably should, purely in order to clear through more of the hoards of products in my life.

This post is the first installment of an edited selection of products that have been adorning my mug recently. The five basics that take me from zombie to land of the living (and even slightly perky looking on a good day) in a flash. Or also known as the give products I slap on my face when I’m in a rush to get out the door and on the tube before I am embarrassingly late (again).

These five are pretty basic – the Origins CC cream* is the base. I adore the finish of this as it gives a glow, but keeps things slightly on the matte side. So healthy, not shiny. Perfect. On a good day, with this I can skin concealer. Then to perk up the cheeks I turn to my go-to blush of Bobbi Brown in ‘Peony’*. A bright, scary looking pink – that on the cheeks gives that ‘outdoorsy’ looking glow. For brows, keeping things quick and easy – I go for By Terry Brow Mascara in Blonde*. Lashes get a few coats of the latest Clarins Be Long mascara* for definition. Then the finishing touch is a bit of the Dior Glow balm on the lips.

Quick ruffle/mess up of the hair and I’m off!

What are your go-to for time-efficient make-up products?!

I’ve got it down to a 6 product face for my basic routine. Setting powder being a must for me.

It would be so tricky just to use 5 products on my face but i’m going to give it ago. I have never tried any By Terry products but they look great, I must get around to buying something. My time effective product would be Wake Me Up Foundation as it takes no time to apply and looks great.

Wish I looked as gorgeous using a mere five products on my face! 🙂 The most time-efficient products I own have to be my MAC paint pots as they’re easy to blend, highly pigmented and long lasting x

I adore MAC paint pots for exact same reason, Groundwork is one of my go-tos!
