Glossy Box have a ‘Glossy Box Wedding Edition’* – so yes, the bride-to-be in me is extremely over excited about this. I think I started thinking hair and make-up before I even got on to dress or budget (perhaps only after food, which was number one on the list). But yes, for all the brides to be out there – Glossy Box have come up trumps with a bridal box full of big-day worthy beauty treats.
So what beauty bits do they deem as wedding appropriate…
The baby pink nail polish is adorable – I’m not usually a baby pink sort of girl when it comes to nails. But I am leaning towards keeping it classing on my wedding day (partially still tempted by turquoise nails though…). But I love that this is so bridal-perfect with the ‘Yes, I do’ message on the bottle. Even if you only use it once, it could be another little keep sake from the wedding.
I love that the box is filled with artificial rose petals – ads a touch of luxe that shredded paper just can’t quite match! Plus I’m sure there must be a way to find another use for them – maybe on display in a glass bowl or something?!
Then, a few more products – the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector. The perfect product for a bridal ‘glow’ that will no-doubt have all the aunties asking when you’re expecting… no, that’s just my wedding day food baby after starving myself for months to get into the dress… (joke). Jokes aside, this is great for a glow – and perfectly small to stash with a bridesmaid for on the go touch-ups. More make-up items – there’s a mascara from Bella Pierre, which looks like a goodun (although the packaging is a bit dated – but that’s me being a bridezilla). The Model Co. double ended lip product is good – a pale, shimmering lipgloss plus a darker but nude shade of lipstick. The lipstick is a tad dark for me, but the gloss is very pretty. This is another one where it’s perfect for on-the-go beauty as it has both products in one and a mirror in the middle to check if any ended up on your teeth.
One of the other major items is the NYX Smokey Eye look palette – which is very handy if you’re going for that sort of look on the day. As it’s small and easy to pop in small clutch bag. It’s not just eye-shadows either. There are some cheek/lip colours too (it says that they’re lips, but could easily double as cream blushers too).
Finally there’s the ‘Moisturising Peeling’, which sounds interesting – it’s a Brightening Facial Milk Scrub. Packed with oils and over 98% organic ingredients – it’s sounds very promising. It also has very cute packaging (not shown) with a white tube and wooden base. It does contain little scrubby bits (i.e. it’s not an AHA exfoliator) but these are really very fine and feel gentle on the skin. My first impressions are good, but need to give it a bit of time before I decide. But can definitely see how this is a handy bridal skincare addition! Oh, and it smells really good too.
Lastly, there’s a pair of ‘shoe bows’ to clip on to shoes – a fairly cute edition, but not one I see myself using!
This would make a lovely little treat for a newly engaged friend (or yourself). Very cute box and I look forward to seeing what other Limited Edition variants Glossy Box come out with this year! Or you can buy multiple boxes as a gift for you and your bridal party/bridesmaids – actually, this would be a very cute way of asking people you have chosen to be your bridesmaids!
