Barry M Silk Finish Nail Polish

When it comes to nails I always wonder what Barry M are going to do next in terms of textures, glitters and colours. Well here’s one answer – the Barry M Silk collection. A mixture of metallic but matte pastel colours that really do resemble the sheen of silk when dried. Somehow managing to cross the difference between shiny metallic and flat matte at the same time.

The six shades in the collection are all in the pastel family, and perfect for Spring. In fact, if I was to liken the finish to anything I would be tempted to use an easter egg – as in a mini egg. That’s the sort of shade these remind me of. Of course, like any matte there’s always the option of popping a gloss coat on top to make it shiny instead but I quite like the matte – it’s what makes these unique.

My personal favourite is the bronze-ish shade and the pearly white. With the lilac coming in a close third. All together I really like the collection and had there been five shades I would be tempted to do a bit of an easter-egg type theme manicure with one of each of each digit. So, in answer to my original question – silk is what Barry M will be doing next… and very pretty they are too! But what is going to follow these?!

Barry M Silk Collection nail paint is available now from Boots (£3.99)

Great post, thank you for sharing! I love the silk finish on these and as you say, such beautiful Spring colours! My favourites are the lilac, pearly white, pink and blue but would happily buy/ wear all of these! <3 x

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about these. They look very pretty, but I don’t think they’re that much different from just a pastel shimmer nail varnish. I think they’d look lovely in the summer when the sun shines on them and for just £3.99 I might give one a try as I’ve never really tried a Barry M nail varnish before x
