Bobbi Brown Nectar and Nude Collection

You love neutrals? Love coral? Then you might need to be sitting down before you take a look at the Bobbi Brown Nectar and Nude Collection *. It’s beautiful and has me so excited for longer, warmer days and the hope and buzz of Spring.

This collection is a gorgeous range from bronze to peachy pink, with some pops of orangey pink in there too and touches of gold. All combined it promises to give you a golden peachy glow. With an eyeshadow palette with six shades including shimmer and matte. Two nail colours – a cream and a glitter. Three lip glosses, two creams and one shimmer. A peachy shimmer brick and a cream blush that will deliver a properly orange-pink pop of colour to cheeks and lips.

What do you think? Is it gorgeous or what?! The ‘Nectar’ shimmer brick is very much a pretty shimmer as it should be and not heavy glitter – with each shade looking very pretty alone, but can be swirled together to create a blended glow on the cheeks.  The shadow palette is pretty, although there are a couple of lesser pigmented shades in there. My favourite is the matte taupe shade as it’s perfect for day to day and I have a bit of a thing for matte shadow at the moment.

The coral nail varnish (called ‘Nectar’) is absolutely perfect for Spring – so bright. Makes me very tempted to get on the fake tan in preparation.  The glitter (‘Bare Peach’)  is pretty and would look lovely layered over the coral. The two cream glosses – Nectar and Nude pink – are those gorgeous skin brightening sort of shades, the ones that you apply and it just lifts the face. Nectar (the brighter of the two) is my personal favourite. Bare Peach – the high shimmer lip gloss – is one I’d save for Summer when I do have a bit more of a bronze to my complexion (ha! Who am I kidding… fake tan all the way) as the golden flecks are really pretty.

The cream blush ‘Pot Rouge’ in the shade ‘Hibiscus’ is a real stand out – it’s the cream blush version of the bright coral nail colour. Possibly even brighter. On pale skin, the smallest amount will go a long way but this can be used on lips and cheeks – I do love a multi-task product.

Overall, I couldn’t be more excited for this collection. Coral AND nude shades in one set?! Yes, I’m a very happy beauty blogger indeed. My top picks of the collection are the cream lip glosses and the hibiscus pot rouge – oh, and the shimmer brick! Not many then…
