Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara Review

Bobbi Brown is hands down my favourite mascara brand. This new Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye mascara * is the one that sealed the deal and plonked the brand on to the top of the pile when it comes to my lash-lengthening preferences. The reason for this is not just this mascara, but the others that have come before it – time and time again I have tried and loved their mascaras. Each becoming part of my routine from first use. This one if no different – in fact, this is the best of the three I’ve tried over the past 12 months.

Before you scroll down to see the before/after shots to see what I mean – what I love about this mascara is how dark is it, the brush (NOT plastic comb-style so nice and soft to use), and the fact it makes my lashes look longer and darker than any other mascara I’ve tried.

Other major selling points to this mascara- it doesn’t take a zillion coats to apply a decent amount of volume. But it can also be layered if you want a more dramatic look. It doesn’t smudge, or flake AT ALL. Which is pretty amazing coming from someone who has tried waterproof mascaras that have smudged on my upper lid over the day.  No fall out or flaking at all.

For your reference, the other mascaras I have tried from the brand are the Extreme Party (like Smokey Eye in terms of fluffy brush, slightly softer colour though) and Intensifying Long Wear (smaller brush, great for long wearing and the brush is good for top and bottom lashes). But so far, Smokey Eye is my new favourite for all the reasons listed above. Just check out the before and after if you’re not sure.
