Ok, so first off this isn’t a ‘BB’ in the typical meaning of the words, but play on it – actually meaning ‘Beautifying Blushable’ in this instance. I know, catchy… but BB-bandwagon aside, these are pretty gorgeous colours. When I first saw these it reminded me of a product I had from a few years back from NYC that I picked up in America – which I dug out and basically it’s the same product. These weren’t ever released over here (which was a shame as they were really nice) and went by the name New York Colour Blushable Cream Stick – where now for the UK they’re called NYC Beautifying Blushable Cream Stick or NYC BB Cream Stick Blush.
The shade I bough a while ago was called ‘Plaza Pink’ and was a peachy pinky shade, where these two are a bright coral ‘Never Sleeping Pink’ and Rosey Pink Nude ‘Soho Pink’. Pigment wise, these are really strong – which is both a good and a bad thing. It’s good, because it means a little goes a long way – but bad as you could have a bit of a blush disaster if you decide to paint a stripe direct on to your cheek… it would take A LOT of blending to get a natural looking finish if you did that. On the plus side, I reckon these would double up nicely as lipsticks as well as blush shades.
Colour wise, Never Sleeping Pink is my favourite as I’m a total sucker for these pinky coral shades. The darker shade – Soho Pink has a slight sheen to it too. Where Never Sleeping Pink is a pure cream sort of colour. Seriously though, how pretty is Never Sleeping Pink for a lip shade?!
