Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Crayons

Make-up in crayon form is pretty much always a winner with me – maybe it’s my amateur make-up skills, or maybe just my inner five year old. But I like any make-up I can apply quickly and easily using a crayon. Simple. These shades are the latest from the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Crayons range – and offer a selection of lovely wearable shades, plus a pop of colour. I remember when these first launched there were a few more of the more dramatic colours – but these major on the natural side overall and that’s just how I like it.

The five shades here are (right to left in above swatches): 009 Blamed Blue (shimmering blue), 015 Trespassing Taupe (matte brown/taupe), 014 Bootleg Brown (dark creamy brown), 001 Witness White (shimmering white), 011 Bluffing (champagne shimmer). You can see the ‘Scandal’ theme running through the names…

The good things about these shadows is that they promise to be 24hr waterproof – now, I know others have had huge success with these going on and staying put – but maybe I just have the worst eyelids in the world, but I still need a touch of primer to help these go on and stay on all day. Of these five, it’s the Trespassing Taupe that I found went on and stayed put the best of the shades – who knows why though?!

Shade wise, there are two in here I adore and you can probably guess them without me telling you – but I have a lot of love for Trespassing Taupe and Bluffing. Both lovely easy to wear shades that are on the natural side of things. I do also like Bootleg Brown, but use this as more of a chunky eyeliner than an all over shadow stick. I find Witness White is perfect for brightening the inner corners of the eye too. Blamed Blue is a gorgeous shade, but just not one I can see myself reaching for all that often simply based on my make-up tastes.

Have you tried any of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Crayons? What are your thoughts – tempted by any of these shades?

Interesting! I love Rimmel but I haven’t try any of these pencils! Trepassing Taupe and Bluffing are gorgeous! They would be perfect with a bit of black eyeliner! And…The longer they last the better!

    Have a good day!

Totally loving the mid tone brown, shimmer brown and the teal! I’ve got similar products from kiko and urban decay and I love using these as bases!

I love this however they won’t fit into my sharpener…is there a larger one you have for this type of eyeliner?

How do you sharpen the crayon?

I found this tricky too but found a larger sized sharpener that it fits into perfectly!
