The D&G Summer Collection that whilst I’ve had a few of the items for a while, I decided to hold off on posting about for a little while as I thought these shades really do make the ideal ‘Indian Summer’ type of colours – golds, oranges and bronzes to flatter a tan or give a glow. With just enough brown to tone down – bronzes and oranges really do combine so well for Summer into Autumn shade transitions. So, with the end of August looming I thought now would be the perfect time to give these lovely bits a little shout out.
The shadow palette is the star of the show, naturally. But the lip colour in the shade ‘Lotus’ is also a winner for me – so creamy and a gorgeous pinky shade. For my pale skin, it works really nicely and is really hydrating. If you like MAC Angel, then this is your sort of shade – a cool toned, creamy pink.
The palette is the shade ‘Tangier’ and seems to be both colourful and neutral all at the same time – the joys of oranges and browns. I love the golden shades and the rich brown too. You could keep it really neutral with just the brown and darker of the golden shades. Or add more of a pop with the orange and the yellow gold shade. Personally, I am a fan of orange ever since I learnt how well it compliments blue eyes. Anything that makes my eyes pop is a good thing!
Then to compliment it is the nail laquer in the shade ‘Maia’ – a gilded rose gold sort of shade. Loving all things rose gold I do love this colour – but do think it looks more perfect on tanned skin than mine.
All in all – a gorgeous collection to help go from Summer into Autumn with perfectly complimentary shades.

The eyeshadow palette looks beautiful. I would however find it hard to work with the orange, but looks stunning none the less. Love how creamy the lipstick looks!!

Love that eyeshadow quad! I’m such a sucker for orangey/brown eyeshadow combinations during the summer. Gorgeous.
