Quick reviews #1

I decided it might be nice to start including some speed-reviews on the blog, for products I’ve been loving or those that I have re-discovered but may not have mentioned first time around. So here’s the first instalment.
No7 Protect & Perfect Moisturising Body Serum*
I started using this purely because it was the first thing I grabbed from my box of ‘to try’ things and to be honest, I had apprehensions about how something based on a serum would feel for the body. But I’ve been really impressed, it feels light yet really does a great job. My skin feels smooth and hydrated all day, despite how almost gel-like the texture is. Plus no scent to interfere with perfume. Impressed!
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
One that’s been a regular in my skincare routine, not daily but always there. This is a powder that you mix with a small amount of water to create a bit of a gritty paste that you then use to exfoliate the skin with. I love how gentle it is but really does leave skin feeling smooth. Because you mix the paste you can essentially make it as thick (harsher) or thin (more gentle) as you like.
WEN Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner*
This one was in a recent beauty box (glossy box I think) and I’ve loved it. I think of this like two-in-one shampoo and conditioner, but instead of being mostly shampoo it’s mostly conditioner. Great if you have dry hair that gets stripped by frequent washing and fab for fine hair that gets static and loads of flyaways if you skip conditioner. Plus smells lovely. Bit of an odd concept to get used to, but once you are it’s a winner for me.

I have a mini of the Dermalogica Scrub to try, and I didn’t realise it was a powder. I opened and was like what is this? I love the fact that you can tailor it to what kind of scrub you want. x

Awesome post! I’ve never heard of a cleansing conditioner before – at least not an all-in-one that works. Did you find your hair a bit oily afterwards or just soft?

The No7 Body Serum is FAB – one of the best body moisturisers I’ve ever used! Aveeno also do something similar (in consistency) x
