Mulberry Sale Purchase

So, this is a tad belated as I actually made this little Mulberry sale splurge back in June and planned to post on it around my birthday (as that was part of my justification for the buy) but as usual, time has run away with itself and it’s now the end of August (actually, the day this is being scheduled to go live is actually my wedding day… so I’m *hopefully* off dressed in white having one of the best days of my life) but, trying to be a diligent blogger I have lots of posts like this one scheduled to keep you entertained and not forget about me whilst I’m off getting married.

Namely, Mulberry purchases.

So, I have a thing for Mulberry – they’re the only designer/expensive bags I’ve ever bought and I’ve never been disappointed in them. I try to stick to fairly classic styles overall – which is what I think I have done with this one. This is the Lily in soft deer brown (I think that’s what it’s called). It’s a small sized bag, but I’ve found it to be ideal for heading basically anywhere I don’t want to take my laptop with me. It fits all the essentials and even my  Canon EOS-M if I need to – and I can wear as a hand bag or cross body so can work for a whole host of outfits. It’s also the bag I’ve been using for nights out  – including my Hen, and a couple of weddings over the Summer. The Lily is the bag that’s been on my wish list in forever, so I was over the moon when I saw the tan shade pop up on the sale pages.. I nearly waited too long to purchase (it’s a big decision, needed to think it through) and it went out of stock almost everywhere – but I tracked it down at the Bond Street flagships store. On a totally shallow note – I am loving the blue/grey bags over the Oxblood coloured ones too…

Overall, it was a good investment I think… and makes my bag collection a nice round number of six! Happy (belated) birthday to myself…!

Is there one bag out there that has your heart and is always on your ‘must save for’ wish list? Let me know…always love to talk bags (they’re a good investment as you can never grow out of a bag)

That’s one of the most beautiful bags I’ve ever seen! Amazing quality and great color! Mulberry is really a brand I’d like to invest in as well! 🙂

Gorgeous bag – can I ask how heavy it feels? I adore this for day to night use but I have a bayswater which I barely use because it weighs a tonne!

It’s really light as it’s quite small. It fits an ipad mini in it about perfectly – so that might help in terms of context. But for a bag that works for day or night and is light to carry I adore it. Have gotten a LOT of use out of it in the six months I’ve had this.
