Radical Skincare Skin Perfecting Screen SPF30

I’ve written before about Radical Skincare, specifically the eye cream which I really, really liked. I have a few bits from the brand in my ‘to test’ pile, but haven’t gotten around to – yet, for some reason this one really jumped out at me when it arrived and skipped ahead of the backlog to get played with straight away. This is the Radical Skincare Skin Perfecting Screen SPF30 and it’s a sort of skincare/make-up hybrid that offers protection from the damaging sun rays, at the same time as offering a subtle hint of perfecting/evening out.

The texture/shade is hard to describe – it’s somewhere in-between cream, a shimmer and a nude tint. All at the same time. It’s one of those ones that goes on like nothing, then somehow just blurs out some of the bad bits – but not in any way feeling silicone-like on the skin as the vast majority of ‘blur’ products can do.

It feels lovely and light on the skin and the fact that it makes my complexion just that little bit better means it gets major brownie points as a possible holiday in the sun product. I’m not really one for heavy, if any make-up when on the beach/by the pool. At most I’ll go for some waterproof mascara. But this is the ideal for adding a bit of confidence, but not slacking on the SPF. Great for in the city too.

It also skips the whole shiny-face-SPF issue too as the finish is a nice matte-sheen sort of one – not totally matte, not shiny either. Just the right bit of glow for a Summer day.

This sounds great as an alternative to sunscreen. I find that sunscreen can block my pores, so I definitely think this will be a better alternative for me, thank you!
