Clinique Baby Tint

Clinique Chubby Sticks are a force to be reckoned with -there’s the originals, the intense, eyes and even for cheeks (more on these soon). But today I’m taking a look at the latest to join the lip gang – the Clinique Baby Tint shades. Sheer colours with  a ‘hefty dose of moisture’ as they’re billed. Basically, they’re a little more sheer than the original shades on offer. In four shades… let’s take a look…

Now, I did actually do full lip swatches for these – but they’re so sheer they basically looked the same and I decided it was better to show the colour difference on arm swatches instead. The shade difference between each of them is very subtle, as the colour overall is subtle as the name suggests – it’s just meant to be a tint.

Really, it’s just the tone of the tine that varies between orange tones, red toned, purple toned or pink toned. The shades, left to right are Poppin Poppy, Coming Up Rosey, Flowering Fressia and Budding Blossom. With the shades of each being orange, red, purple and pink respectively. Of course, as the tint is subtle you won’t have pure lilac/orange etc lips – these really are lip colours for those who are fearful of colour and just want the faintest hint with some moisture.

In all honestly, the difference between these and the original which are also quite subtle tints. But these are really nice shades and I have found myself reaching for Poppin Poppy and Coming Up Rosey a lot for a day time lip shade lately.

What do you think – are you a fan of Clinique Chubby Sticks or are you over the whole crayon of colour thing?

If I’m honest I think the original Chubby Sticks are subtle enough as it it, these look wayyy to subtle for my liking! I’m a huge fan of the cubby sticks for eyes though! Look forward to your post on the cheek version!

I totally agree! The original Chubby sticks are already sheer and these seem like they would be almost just like a lip balm. I also love the Chubby sticks for the eyes, they are so pretty and flattering!

I love chubby pencils like these, but these shades are all too sheer for my taste.

To be honest I can’t really see the point in these. The original Chubby Sticks are far too sheer for my liking as it is so something even sheerer is not going to be very popular with me. I think they’re just a very lightly tinted lip balm and so I think they’re pretty overpriced x

These seem cute but very sheer in color, I’m thinking of buying the “coming up rosy ” shade, great post!! 🙂
