If I thought picking a brand for the ‘B’ Beauty A-Z was tough then I should have just waited for C… even tougher. Three of my all time favourite brands would fall under this letter. But for the first one I have to go with the one that heavily featured for my wedding make-up and that has hands down got me the most excited over 2014. That brand is Charlotte Tilbury.
Now, the brand is fresh in my mind as only this week I went along to an event with the fabulous Charlotte herself to check out some of the new launches coming soon along with having a proper oogle at the gorgeous gift offerings and general loveliness on offer. Including the Matte Revolution shades that I haven’t actually tried yet and the adorable mini lipstick trio. Oh, plus the stunning Supermodel palette. Which is just dreamy.
I can’t even begin to explain the excitement for the new Goddess Mask that launches early Spring next year. At the launch we tried it on the backs of our hands and I was blown away by how different my hand looked after. I would now like a size big enough to slather my whole body in the stuff. It’s made with this soft Spanish clay plus various lovely oils to create a non-drying, yet deep cleansing mud mask. It smells of gorgeous Frangipani and is a definite must-have when it comes out. I’m itching to get it so can try on my face.
But about the existing brand products that are already out and firm favourites. For me, the Golden Goddess palette is a daily love. The one from my wedding day and many times since. I also love the Filmstar Bronze & Glow duo to deliver pure glow not glitter. Plus the finishing powder that almost was lost at the wedding, but eagle-eyed fellow blogger Zoe knew you don’t just leave a Charlotte Tilbury compact… so she rescued it and returned it to me.
I think the thing that makes Charlotte Tilbury such an exciting brand to me is that there’s just such a breadth of products that are truly exciting and immediately on my lust list. There isn’t a palette or blush in the collection that I don’t love in one way or another. Plus it’s a brand that I feel totally confident about having an on-counter make-over, I know I’m not going to walk away looking questionable… even when getting a full on smokey eye, which is more dramatic than I’d normally do myself. I still feel comfortable in the final look rather than wanting to head straight to the nearest bathroom to tone it down.
My top picks from the brand are the eyeshadow palettes, 100%. Having said that I’ve not tried the matte revolution lipstick shades so that could change everything. What’s on your Charlotte Tilbury wish list? For me, it’s the Colour Morphing eye pencils, Lost Cherry lipstick, the new lip scrub that’s coming next year, plus the ‘Ingenue’ look gift collection which is right up my alley and 100% on the Christmas list. So not much then…. what can I say, it’s the Tilbury effect.
