It’s mid Christmas break and so far it’s been a relaxing one for me. Now being part of a team of two we tend to split our Christmas between the two sets of parents. We just alternate each year which one we actually spend the main day with. This year was spent at Ollie’s family then travelling over to my parent’s for a few days before we headed back to London. We had a great evening last night with delicious meal cooked by my Dad then slobbing on the sofa watching the terrible/amazing film that is The Expendables 3 (after much debate to try and get five people to agree to one film…).
Overall, it’s been a very relaxed and quiet Christmas 2014 with all the things that make a good festive break. Naps, selection boxes (and Roses), food, fizz, films, and chat with family. I didn’t even take many photos (probably too busy searching for all the cream filled Roses) but a few to share.
Mainly from Christmas eve, then a boxing day walk to shake of that fuzzy Christmas day head. Monty is definitely a little city dog – as much as she loves a walk in the country, she tip toes around mud and looks at us with disgust when we take her out to go to the loo if it’s raining. I can’t blame her, I’d feel the same if I was a dog. But she was very happy to be wrapped up in her little American Eagle Outfitters puffer jacket* (or ‘American Beagle Outfitters’ as it’s called for the dog range…). I was always told it’s not ok to dress up my dog, but how can I not when it’s cold!?
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas break, or just a lovely few days if Christmas isn’t something you celebrate. I also hope you’re looking back on 2014 with a smile, or at least looking ahead to 2015 with a touch of excitement.
Happy Christmas from me. This was definitely a year where the ‘It’s not what’s under the tree, it’s who is around it’ rung true for me. A lovely Christmas and now – bring on the New Year!
