Adding some Glam to Jan – Max Factor #GlamJan

Glam Jan Cover 2
January is typically the month that the glitter and glam is all tucked safely away until next year’s party season. But as much as I want to be on a health kick and making those typical New Year lifestyle changes (note to self – MORE WATER) it doesn’t mean it has to be all doom and gloom. There’s no reason that Jan doesn’t deserve a bit of glam. There are no rules and I for one know a bright lip or dramatic eyeliner are the ideal pick me up when perhaps we’re not all feeling our absolute best after the season of excess.

So, to celebrate rather than commiserate January – Max Factor are championing all things Glam with #GlamJan and what better face to front all things Glam than the original Glam icon of Marilyn Monroe. Did you know 2015 marks 8- years since Mr. Max Factor Junior opened his Hollywood make-up studio, where he became the go-to name for transforming all the Hollywood big names. But the most iconic client of all has to be Norma Jeane – in the late 1940’s she emerged from the studio with her signature platinum blonde hair and became the ultimate icon for a glamour transformation. In 2015, Marilyn Monroe and Max Factor are back together with Marilyn’s becoming the Global glamour ambassador for the brand.IMG_6733

A glamorous make-up transformation isn’t reserved for Hollywood icons though. I for one can testament to the transformational power of a bright red lip and lashings of mascara. So in Jan you’re challenged to take part in the #GlamJan campaign and bring a bit of that Marilyn glam and transform January from a dreary month to one with glamour and excitement. The easiest way to inject instant glam? Max Factor Ruby Tuesday lipstick – a classic red shade that I first tried back in 2011.  Add lashings of Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara and you’re good to go… #GlamJan made easy. FYI – for the mascara, I’m usually a blacker than black fan, but this is the Brown Black shade and I’m really liking how it’s that little bit softer and more flattering. May be a brown black convert!

It’s a gorgeous shade and I love how such a simple touch perks up the whole face! I will definitely be wearing a red lip more in 2015!
