In Summer I’m usually a bit of a cliche when it comes to nails – automatically going for either the typical bright shades, corals or gold/bronze type shades. Silver wouldn’t normally be on my radar all that much as I think gold shades suit me more – but this silver polish from Clinique caught my eye…
Earlier this year Clinique launched it’s ‘A different nail enamel’ range – designed to suit sensitive skin (apparently some people can react to nail varnish, especially if they’re touching around their eye area) and of the colours I’ve tried I’ve been really impressed! They’re a good design – nice brush. The formula is really easy to work with and applies nicely and they last really well.
This silver shade called ‘Strappy Sandals’ is no exception – it applies well, two coats to opaque and no sign of the usual striping you can get with metallic shades. Each coat feels thin but is pigmented – which results in quick drying. Always a plus.
This lasted really well to – From Sunday to Thursday with only minor tip wear. Very impressed!
Also a little heads-up – Clinique is offering a free manicure at their counters, with every polish purchased until 27th July! My top shade picks from the range are…Happy Heart (a slightly coral bright red – you can see it HERE), Splish Splash (bright, creamy blue) and Concrete Jungle (very pale grey) – you can see a few of these in the post I did on the launch.
