Bourjois have a little exciting launch heading our way – a collection of waterproof, 24 hour eyeshadow and liner crayons. In a variety of neutral-lover friendly shades. These are the Bourjois Colorband Crayons and I’m a little bit smitten…
With six shades from standard black – perfect if you’re looking for a full-on dark and moody smokey eye to a rose gold shade that I reckon looks rather ace when paired with blue eyes. There’s a whole selection of nicely wearable shades (left to right):
06 Gris graffiti
02 Brun dadaiste
04 Rose fauviste
05 Mauve baroque
01 Noir abstrait
03 Beige minimaliste
All of them, with perhaps the slight exception of the paler 03 Beige Minimaliste are really very pigmented. Just look at that black!? Gorgeous shades and I love the colour range. I would wear all of these without hesitation. The Mauve is probably the most interesting colour with Beige and Bronze being the most easy to wear day to day.
In terms of wear, I’ve been wearing a combo of 03 Beige, 02 Brun and 04 Rose in the below shot. In terms of staying power so fat can’t fault them and have had them on all day. I did have a bit of an issue with the nib of Brun as it totally broke off and crumbled. Am sure must have been down to me pushing too hard or something so I ended up smudging this one on with my fingers direct rather than using the crayon to apply then blend.
For the above I’ve used as all over the lid (beige and brun) and also as around the eye as liner (Rose) and they work equally well for both. For an easy on the go look these crayon style applicators are a really handy thing to have in your make-up bag. Easy to smudge on and apply without need for brushes/tools.
