Ah Tom Ford. What is this power you have that makes us beauty bloggers lust over your products so much? Whatever it is, you clearly captured it in mini-size rather perfectly in the shape of the Tom Ford Lips and Boys collection. A collection of clutch-perfect sized lipsticks all ‘inspired’ by the men and boys in Mr Ford’s life. There are a whopping 50 shades in the collection and they’re only ‘get it until they’re gone’ limited edition – so no end date as such, more just a case of when they’re gone, they’re gone. With so many shades, there should literally be one for everyone – as all colours you can imagine (in typical lip shade spectrum – no blues or anything) are covered off.
I have a selection of shades which of course include ‘Olivier’…the closes Mr Ford got to capturing Oliver as a lipstick for me.
From left to right (top to bottom below) we have:
Olivier – A cool toned baby pink
Francesco – A hot pink
Sebastian – A bronze with golden shimmer
Holden – A pale nude
Patrick – A bright coral
All the shades are super smooth with the brighter shades having the more obvious pigment. They have that certain something that feels special about Tom Ford beauty, but in a smaller size. Basically, these are absolutely ideal if you’re lusting after a Tom Ford lipstick, but perhaps can’t quite bring yourself to part with close to £40 for the pleasure (either that or pick one up at Duty Free like I did previously).
In terms of favourites – from this collection my top pick would be either Francesco or Patrick (sorry Olivier) as I am a sucker for a bright lip. Francesco is one that I reckon would work year round and Patrick a little more Summertime ready.
