COLLECTION: Cream vs Powder

In the world of blushers there are two camps, the powder camp and the blusher camp. Maybe you prefer the healthy glow of a cream blusher or perhaps you like the shimmer of a powder highlighter/blusher combo. Possibly it’s the brush application over finger-blend that gets your vote…whatever side you take to get your cheeks glowing there’s something out there for you – including these gorgeous new goodies from COLLECTION, the Gorgeous Glow Powders if you’re #PowderPosse and the Speedy Blush Sticks if you’re #TeamCreamIMG_8490

So the rules don’t dictate that you have to be solely one or the other…you can be a bit of both if you like. But for the purposes of this highly scientific (ish) debate I’d like you to choose a side…with the added bonus that I have 20 COLLECTION blusher duos(10x Speedy Blush and 10x Gorgeous Glow) to give away.

Gorgeous Glow Highlighting Powder #PowderPosse

These are a gorgeous silky smooth shimmering powder with a blend of shades. So you can either be specific and just pick one or blend them all together to get a blended shade. There are two shades available – Blush Block and Bronze Block – so you can choose if you want to add more of a blush or a bronzing effect. These are awesome for Summer as if you use a large brush you can dust a bit of glow on your shoulders, legs and decolletage too. I do love a multi functional product.

Speedy Blush Sticks #TeamCream

These new sticks are jumping on the crayon style product trend that I love – easy and quick application always gets the thumbs up from me. There are three shades – ‘Tickled Pink’ (pink), ‘Cheeky’ (coral) and ‘Pinch Me’ (plum). The plus for me of a cream blush is that the colour flush blends beautifully with the skin and really does that ‘glowing’ finish that looks natural rather than applied (nobody really glows like shimmer do they now?!). It’s like a natural blush rather than applied blush. Which is lovely for Summer as it’s the time of year when the naturally healthy/glowing look is what everyone basically is aiming to achieve (well, a lot of people are anyway…!).

SO, which side are you on?! Are you #TeamCream or #PowderPosse ….

As for me…I am generally partial to both (which is what I’m wearing in the shot below… I have the gorgeous Blush Block across the cheekbones and then I’ve cheated and used the pretty coral shade of the Speedy Blush Stick in ‘Cheeky’ on my lips). But for Summer I am definitely a cream blush fan as love the fresh finish and easy application…plus can always double up with the same shade on the lips too! So that makes me #TeamCream … which are you!?

I love the application of powders or cream blushes! I think both are beautiful in their way. I’ve never had a stick cream blush, but do want to try them out! I also like to wear cream blushes for summer! It looks so nice on you!

Definitely love a cream blush as think it’s more flattering as we age. I also like to use it on my lips and those sticks are so blooming handy aren’t they?! Wouldn’t be without mine! Really pretty post 🙂 x
