I think each time My Little Box release a new one they get more and more adorable. How they do it I don’t know but even items that are fairly simple and functional in these adorable monthly boxes from the French brand are just stylish and lovely. From the illustrations to the beauty items, I don’t think there’s been a dud in all the boxes I’ve seen. This is the My Little Box – Road Trip and it’s a cute little beauty.
The thing I like about My Little Box is that each box has a different theme – and they’re actually quite interesting ones. Not just the somewhat predictable ones of ‘Summer beauty’, ‘festival beauty’ and the like. They very much feel like they’re all inspired by the Pinterest/glossy instagram side of the internet – very inspirational and fun. All illustrated with the signature designs.
Each box then features a mix of items, from lifestyle bits and bobs (usually linked to the theme of the box) and then around three beauty items – usually one of which being an own brand. Interestingly, even the own-brand is really pretty – it’s own-brand done well, rather than something that looks quite cheap with just the logo stuck on. The branding of the My Little Box items is really cute (think a peachy pink version of Topshop Beauty).
This month’s theme is the Road Trip – so the items are all travel or road trip appropriate in some way. Well, the Essie nail colour is just a bright Summer colour. There’s a lovely little my Little Beauty after sun gel (smells lovely and fresh) then there’s a smaller sized Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water (125ml though so a tad too big to fly with). Then there’s some golden temporary tattoos. Plus in the ‘Never Stop Exploring’ package there’s a little plastic travel wallet.
Basically, the My Little Box Road Trip Box is another example of a gorgeously instagram-worthy box of monthly treats. I still love seeing what comes in each of the monthly boxes, but if I’m totally honest this is the one that every month gets me the most excited! Even if the beauty content is the lowest volume-wise, overall it’s beautiful so it feels like a real treat to open. I’m always looking forward to seeing what theme they will go for next.
Now.. to book that round the world adventure…
