All change {Ramble}

So as you will have gathered if you’ve been following me on social (casual plug there… Instagram & Twitter right this way) then you will likely know that I’ve moved house! Which is a funny thing really, it’s something that happens all the time – people move house – it’s life. But it’s also a pretty darn stressful thing to do, takes a lot of energy and can be a big change. But it’s happened, we’re in the new place and now after all change –  it’s just time to get back to business! Not just the business of blogging – which I’m really excited to throw myself back into – but also putting more and more energy into my freelance bits and bobs and also into settling into the new ‘hood, getting the house together and generally back to day to day life.

One thing (a total blogger geekery thing that is) that I’m really excited about are lots of photo-perfect spots in the house. From rooms with fab lighting (hello filming videos again!) and backgrounds. Expect to see some slightly new-style photos. Plus of course some of those house related posts I’ve been promising in forever!

The one thing, which might sound a bit silly – about moving – is that things that are usually totally mundane and dull suddenly seem all exciting and new. It’s all quite refreshing! Even going to the supermarket felt like a whole new thing. In fact, the supermarket felt a bit overwhelming – but that’s probably because I’m absolutely pants at food shopping (seriously, too much choice it’s just too much). But I guess this is all part and parcel of a change – but it’s worth embracing and enjoying the time where all the day to day things feel fresh and new! I’m sure it will all wear off soon enough and those things that now seem new and exciting will again become chores again – so for now I want to enjoy them. It’s quite refreshing to see these things in a new light!

Just a little Sunday ramble about general life – how has your week been? Any big or little events that make this week memorable for you? There’s always something I reckon – so let me know what your news is below!

    Hope the move went well. I’m moving this weekend too, and it’s been so stressful! But it’s exciting to be moving to a new place and discover everything it has to offer.

      I have loved the change and the organising, but also found it more stressful than expected too. I think I was expecting all the stress to be over as soon as we had the keys but not quite as easy as that! But the ‘fresh start’ part of it, I love!
