I’ve got an ever growing love of Tarte products – each one I try I seem to love the brand more and more. One of which that cemented this love is the Tarte Tipsy blusher – for all it’s skin-perking-up goodness. The only thing that does confuse me is that everywhere online it describes Tarte Tipsy as a coral… where I’m pretty sure it couldn’t look more pink in the photos?! So much so that it made me check the name on the packaging just to make sure I hadn’t been imagining it was Tipsy I’ve been using all this time… I wasn’t that’s the right shade name.
So this is Tarte Tipsy blush – or to give it it’s full and ‘proper’ name ‘Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour blush’ in the shade ‘Tipsy’. The blusher is based on the Tarte ‘signature’ ingredient of Amazonian Clay. It comes in a handbag friendly blusher which is slim but contains a large mirror. The thing that baffles me the most about this is that I’ve been using it regularly for a couple of months and the embossing pattern on the top remains in tact – mainly down to the strong pigment meaning only a tiny amount of product is ever needed.
The overall effect of Tarte Tipsy blush is the sort of flattering shade that is just ideal year round. Like a healthy flush on the cheeks, but not overly dramatic – it looks like you have that glow rather than you painted it on. I love it and it’s definitely a day to day staple for me now. Other plus sides to this blush – it lasts all day, leaves skin looking healthy and not dried out and looks just as good on my skin when pale as when I have a bit of a tan.
Well worthy of the amazing reputation – only downside being that even though Tarte is now available via QVC NONE of the Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushers are showing as currently available on the site?! They definitely were, so suspect it could just be down to stock levels and hopefully will change as we basically NEED these in the Uk. Otherwise, make sure you pick one up if you’re visiting a US Sephora or of course you can now order to delivery to the UK online.
