Clinique new launches – Spring 2016

I spent yesterday running around London on various appointments (including a new hair do… to be shared soon) and a peek at some exciting Clinique new launches for Spring 2016. I think Clinique has had a really exciting update lately, taking it from a fab classic products and skincare brand to one that has some really fun products, including a great selection of bright shades and day to day wearable products. Lots of which are featuring in the new Spring launches that I wanted to share with you here.

First up are the new Clinique Lid Pop * (£16) – the new eye shadow offering of the pretty floral cheek pop blushers they launched last year (or even the year before maybe). The shades are just gorgeous – and can be used wet or dry. I don’t have the full list of shade names to hand but you can see the colour offerings above – I tried the pinky golden shade as an inner corner highlight as it’s just gorgeous. The purple shade is one I had in my goody bag from the event and is called ‘Grape Pop’. It’s one of those colours that’s a nice happy medium if you want to branch out from taupe or nude shades but not quite ready or the blue sort of colours… although that rich blue is gorgeous!

Then they have the Chubby in the nude foundation stick (£23). Extending the popular chubby stick collection to include foundation now. So you have lips, eyes, eyes and now base all covered in crayon form. Doing your make-up will be more like a painting by numbers picture than ever before! But the most excitingly is the new buffing brush. It’s a beaut – chunky with dense duo fibre bristles. I can see this being a dream for blending out foundation – either as the stick form or if you prefer a liquid formula. I’ll never use a traditional foundation brush again with gems like this around.

Next on the list are the Clinique Pop Glaze Sheer lip colour * (£16) and primers . The sheer sisters to the Clinique Lip Pop lipsticks which launched last year and went down a storm. I have to say I love the sheer packaging on these – how the base is sheer but still with the colour so it both looks pretty and makes it easy to dig out the colour you want! I have the shade Licorice Pop to try which is a deep purple shade – something I think works ace as a sheer colour and I do love the original formula of the Lip Pop lipsticks.

Then last, but by no means least we have the Clinique Lip Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer * (£16) – a tinted lip gloss colour that offers a fab mix between colour and gloss in one. Not quite the matte liquid lipstick that are oh-so-popular at the moment, but a glossy finish and colour in one. I’m wearing the Nude Pop shade as I type – and it definitely has that slightly sticky gloss feel to it but not uber-glossy liquid shine. Good for day to day and a lovely range of shades – I tried the dark purple shade at the event and really like that one too.

So there we have a little run down of the exciting new things coming from Clinique – all the colour bits are available from 1st Feb at Harrods then nationwide on Clinque counters from 18th March. The foundation stick and buff brush are available from 15th April. What are the ones that catch your eye the most? I think it might be the Clinique Pop Lacquer that I’m most excited about colour wise… and then there’s that buffing brush! HEART EYES EMOJI.

Exciting times from Clinique!

I can’t believe you got to see the new Buff Brush, I’ve just been on our regional consultant conference and even we didn’t get to see the new brush! The lid pops and lip lacquers are indcredible though.
