Skincare routines – #No7LoveYourSkin

Skincare has very much been a focus for me this month. After a season of excess it just became even more important than it is normally to get into that routine of good skincare. There’s nothing that gets me down beauty-wise than having a bad skin episode, it zaps your confidence and even with the best make-up in the world it can be hard to disguise a break out, dry patches or dehydration lines. So one of my top beauty vows in 2016 is make skincare a real focus and get a solid routine of what works for me and stick to it.

Meeting Dr Mike Bell

This week (Thursday evening) I have a really exciting opportunity to go along to an event with Stylist Magazine and Boots No7 where I’ll get to meet and spend some time chatting to Dr Mike Bell,Skincare Scientific Advisor for Boots UK where I’ll get to ask all about skincare concerns, ingredients and the latest developments in formulas. I’d absolutely welcome any questions you would like me to ask whilst I’m there too – just leave a comment or drop me a tweet or email!

As you probably know, Boots No7 skincare has often had quite the buzz around it – since that infamous sell out launch of the original Protect & Perfect serum the brand has continued to develop it’s skincare offering. In fact, the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum is clinically proven to be even more effective at reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Giving the No7 Protect and Perfect Advanced and Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced a pretty impressive status as the most effective anti-ageing products – with 80% of the 100s of women who tested the serum feeling they felt the best anti-ageing results.

No7 Protect and Perfect Advanced Intense Range:

Along with the No7 Protect and Perfect Advanced serum there’s also the whole range – the Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream that helps target deep lines and wrinkles, delaying new ones from forming. Plus it has SPF15 and 5* UVA technology to help protect from the ageing effects of the sun. The Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream to help the skin’s natural repair process whilst you sleep. The Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Eye Cream to specifically look after the delicate eye area, targeting dark shadows and puffiness. The range includes the key ingredient Matrixyl 3000 Plus™ – to target deep lines and wrinkles. Plus the Double Defence (patent pending) technology with a poweful and broad-spectrum antioxidant complex to help counter free radicals and prevent skin oxidative stress. Plus the all important Hyaluronic Acid – which for me is always a buzz word I look out for!

When I last tried the Protect & Perfect Intense serums back in 2014 I was really impressed, so I’m looking forward to finding out more about the latest developments to the range on Thursday. I’ve always liked it when a skincare range tries to tick off as many skincare ‘needs’ as possible in one relatively concise range – I want hydration that lasts, anti-ageing, SPF and specific care for my eyes…. so all signs point to this being a good range for ticking those boxes.

Hi Jen!! Really good article on P&P, just one question: isn’t the Double Defence technology only used in the Early Defence range? Saying it’s in P&P left me wondering. I will be following your future articles X
