I think my obsession with all things The White Company has reached a new high. My entire Christmas wish list comprised of ‘anything from The White Company’ and don’t get me started on the sale. But Old purchases aside, they have a new scent offering that’s perfect for Spring that is around the corner (will be here before you know it) this is The White Company Lime and Bay candle and it’s like a breath of fresh air, in candle form.
The White Company Lime and Bay is a new family of products added to the main White Company home fragrance collections. Available in various forms – tea lights, signature candles, large candles, home sprays and diffusers. So if you like this new addition you can make your whole home smell as citrussy fresh as you like.
But more about the fragrance – as I said above, it really is like a breath of fresh air. It’s got that zingy lime combined with the herby Bay leaves. If you like Jo Malone Lime Basil and Mandarin… well, this is basically that sort of fragrance combination. On the website it’s described as ‘floral and exotic. Like stepping into a colourful tropical garden’. Beyond just Lime and Bay there’s pink grapefruit, bergamot, orange, lime and lemon plus jasmine, lime blossom, ginger and crushed bay leaves. Topped off with patchouli. All in all, it’s a lovely blend of citrus and herbs.
The White Company Lime & Bay fragrance really is ideal for the end of Winter (even if it sort of feels like it’s only just started as it’s been so mild bar the past week). The scent in the candle is quite heady, but when burning creates a soft fresh fragrance that throws fairly well, but doesn’t linger too strongly. So one you can sort of switch on and off depending on burning or not. I currently have this in the hall way to give a bit of a fresh and zingy welcome, although I’m tempted to move to the kitchen to keep it fresh in between cooking.
Price wise, the home scents are some of the most reasonable ways to get yourself a little taste of The White Company – whilst I’m eternally lusting after a bedding set and all the clothes… when the candles and home fragrances start at around £15 it’s far less guilt inducing to splash out on. I’m pretty sure I picked up a mini diffuser before for £10, but I may be wrong and it may not be available in every fragrance.
So so far I have Pomegranate as my Autumn favourite, Winter for erm… Winter… Lime and Bay for Spring and Seychelles for Summer. A year of The White Company smelling home sorted! Although having had a peek at the website it looks like there’s also a Spring fragrance too that I haven’t tried… and not forgetting the lovely Fresh Fig ….see, the obsession is strong in this one.
