Pantene is one of those products that I’ll always remember the first time I used it. It had such an immediate, transformative effect that I was hooked from first use. Always coming back to it, time and time again. I’ve always been someone who tends to use a ‘cocktail’ of shampoo and conditioner options – mixing and matching depending on my situation, hair condition and needs to get the result I want. In general though, I want my hair to be shiny, clean, soft, silky and with as much volume as possible for the fine texture. I also want to do all I can to look after and maintain my hair colour for as long as possible. Not that I’m demanding with my hair care or anything…

Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish is a new launch from Pantene. The range includes the Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse and Nourish shampoo, Conditioner and Foam Conditioner. The shampoo is the hero of the range as it harnesses the skincare staple benefits of a micellar cleanser into haircare. Meaning you can get the same sort of thorough cleanse, without stripping your hair. Being in and around London so much means I also have the added ‘bonus’ (can you sense a tongue in cheek tone there) of dealing with pollution. Pollution and my hair are not best friends – with my hair already being fine. A day out and about in London, on the tube and walking around is all it takes to make my hair as flat as a pancake. When I lived in Zone 1 I had to wash my hair daily without fail or else it looked like a lank, lifeless mess.
Pantene Pro-V Micellar conditioners include two formula options – a traditional cream texture and a lightweight foam texture that’s just perfect for fine hair or hair that gets weighed down easily. You could even mix and match if you wanted or had especially long hair so you could use the cream conditioner to the very ends and foam for mid lengths. For me, the foam is perfect all over – especially in Summer when more often than not I like to let my hair dry naturally.
Finding that great ‘everyday’ shampoo that gets your hair clean (after all, getting it clean is pretty much the number one requirement of a shampoo) without leaving it stripped and damaged is exactly what you need. Then adding in a conditioner formulated to suit your hair type, that leaves you with that ‘silky smooth’ feeling that I’ll always remember from Pantene – without the silicones. So you can be left with clean, fresh hair that’s silky soft and conditioned!
Pantene Pro-V Micellar Cleanse & Nourish range is available in Superdrug now!
