Every year the time rolls around where this classic annual collection launches and it’s always a highlight for me. Even as the fundamentals of the collection stay pretty consistent, there’s just something about the bronze with flashes of turquoise collection that gets me excited for Summer. Sure, Summer 2020 is looking a bit less exciting than maybe some of us would have hoped. But when an actual Summer holiday might not be on the cards – a spray of a perfume that smells like one is almost the next best thing. So let’s take a look at the hero products of Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2020…

The Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection always centres around a few key ingredients. The signature Bronze Goddess fragrance plus a selection of colour makeup products. A palette with a mix of bronze shades plus the splash of turquoise and rich blue. Basically a holiday in a palette. Then along side the palette always comes a glowing selection of bronzing and the powder gelee type of products to deliver that sunkissed and glowing look.
The powder gelee element of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2020 collection is what’s extra special about this year’s collection. Not only are there three shades in the collection (there’s usually only one in that formula) but one of the shades is a repackage of the previously limited edition Modern Mercury. A shade from the Estee Lauder Victoria Beckham 2017 collection that promptly sold-out (and went for well over RRP on eBay) is now back as part of the Bronze Goddess range.

The Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2020 collection features four fragrance options. There’s a Bronze Goddess Eau de Perfume plus the Eau Fraiche Skinscent. Then the fragrance comes in a shimmering hair and body oil… a dream for a holiday… or a sunny day in a lovely back garden or balcony… either way. Will smell like a dream. Then the new addition for the year is the Bronze Goddess Azure which is my new favourite. If you already like a scent like the Tom Ford Neroli Portofino then this will be right up your street. I speak fully for myself when I say it’s a good mood in a bottle.

Where Bronze Goddess is the warm sun lotion drying on a beach towel, the new. Bronze Goddess Azure scent is like sitting under in the Italian Sun next to a lemon tree. It’s fresh but with that warm Summer scent in there too. It’s gorgeous. Plus it comes in a pretty turquoise bottle, with the gold lid and a splash of the bronze tortoiseshell that has become a signature of the Bronze Goddess range.

All in all, there’s a good reason this collection excites me year after year and even whilst 2020 is hardly playing out how anyone planned. There’s a place in it all for a mood lifting collection like the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess one.
