Living Proof has fast become one of my most-used haircare and styling brands. It wasn’t a conscious choice to make one brand one that runs through my routine from wash to styling. But here we are! I just found that with each product I tried I found another that I enjoyed and did was it promises. Which is exactly what you want really isn’t it.

Living Proof most recently launched a trio of deep conditioner hair masks. Each designed to tackle different issues or hair types. But not just in the traditional ‘dry/normal/oily’ type of categories – it’s more focussed on the issues connected to different hair types.
The three masks are:
Perfect Hair Days Weightless Mask (SpaceNK – £33 – AD/Affiliate)- Ideal for fine hair that struggles to maintain volume but needs a deep condition. If you avoid masks because you find they leave your hair limp (hello – me too) then this is for you.
Restore Repair Mask (CultBeauty – £33 – AD/Affiliate) – If your hair is damaged or perhaps just undergone a recent colour or chemical treatment. This is for you. I use this in the weeks after a hair colour appointment. Helps keep my hair in good condition even if it’s been bleached root to tip…
Frizz Intense Moisture Mask (Look Fantastic – £33 – AD/Affiliate) – If you have dry hair or suffer from frizz this mask is designed to tackle this issue.

I’ve been trying out all three masks for a good few weeks now and really recommend them all. For regular use for me my first choice would be the Perfect Hair Days Weightless Mask – it’s like a gentle upgrade on an every-wash conditioner. Where the Restore and the Frizz ones are more intense and slightly heavier textures. These two feel richer and more like they’re more typical thicker mask types.

However one of my favourite things is that across all three, the combination of both the textures and the packaging makes them feel much simpler and easier to use than the typical pot-packaged mask. They’re less mess (I still can’t get over a time when I had spent a fair chunk of my student loan on an expensive hair mask and then dropped the tub in the shower and down the drain it went…sad times) But that wouldn’t happen with this tube type packaging. Much more secure.
I should also add in here that all three masks are silicone free – so the impact they have on hair is real and genuinely helping the condition. Rather than any sort of artificial coating of the hair to give the impression of an improvement.

I can’t fully make a call between the Frizz and the Restore masks as they both feel very similar but there’s a chance that’s because my hair isn’t especially frizzy or badly damaged. The lighter mask is plenty for me with perhaps the occasional boost of the Restore option after a colour.
I also need to make time to tell you about the other products from the Living Proof range I’ve been loving – the colour protect shampoo/conditoner are ace. Plus the thickening styling cream! So many to mention! The detox shampoo! I’ll save those for another post…
