December 2009 In and Out

I love reading in and out posts on other blogs, so thought I would jump on the band wagon and do one of my own. I might make these a bit of a regular feature on the blog.

Painting my Nails

Currently obsessed with keeping my nails nicely manicured. I am so indecisive though that I am changing colour every couple of days – before there is any chipping or tip wear. Currently wearing my Nubar Raspberry Truffle that I applied on Christmas Eve – gorgeous deep berry with a pretty glitter/shimmer.

Nothing new here, but I love browsing this site for style inspiration and generally to fuel my hair-envy at all these people with wonderful long ‘Serena Vanderwoodsen’ style hair. Why wont my hair ever reach those wonderful lengths and thickness?? (I get closer to calling the hairdressers and booking extensions day by day).

Loving wearing blusher for pretty much the first time in my life. I have naturally pale/pinky skin and I blush far too easily so normally skip blush as I have enough of my own. But on Xmas eve I got my hands on my new MAC blush in Well Dressed that I got my parents to buy (with my money) at the airport for me in November and I love it. Such a pretty pink – will do a full review shortly. This isn’t my only blusher I am loving, just the latest one – but I am converted to how blusher can lift a face, even a naturally pink one like mine.

Dry Skin

I have a horrid post-cold issue with dry skin around my nose. I have been applying Johnson’s Baby Moisturising Cream, which has helped, but will still take some time to heal properly and till then, applying foundation is a pain as it is going to look all gross and crusty. Nice.

Fake Tan

I do love a bit of a glow, but I just don’t have the time or inclination to keep up my usual St Tropez routine. Plus in my new flat I have lovely bright white bed sheets – and night time tanning doesn’t really work with white sheets. I’m going to try to find a new tanner that is tint-free so I can do it without having to change sheets every other day (or leave them with slightly dodgy looking stains).

I never thought I would say this, but I think I’m done with eating for the foreseeable future. Not in the scary eating-disorder way, but in the way that I have eating so much, seemingly constantly for the past few days that I just want to stop! Now, as a big food person (I live to eat – as my waistline can testify to) this is shocking – I would even turn down cheese topped garlic bread from Pizza Express right now. Yep, that’s how full I am.

Haha totally with you on the “dry skin” and “eating”!! I’ve had my humidifier going non-stop to try to get my skin looking normal.

And the thought of eating is not as attractive as it usually is (and I’m known for being a “good eater”). I’ve got telltale little bumps around the sides of my mouth and chin… always a sign of overindulgence for me .

I’m so with you on the eating. I’m also thinking I’m done with eating. period. just reached that stage of disgust after pigging out from thanksgiving until christmas. ugh.

I’m glad it’s not just me who is fed up with the eating thing!
