Lancome Spring

I made a little trip to the new Westfield shopping centre in Stratford and of course spent some time around the many make-up counters. I was completely taken by the gorgeous Spring collection, especially the pretty little lipsticks. I pretty much didn’t care what the colour was like, I just love the packaging. A little bit of Spring in miserable winter.
I also picked up a sample of the Teint Miracle foundation to try out too – I’ve tried it once and so far, like it   – need to give it the full ‘day at work’ test though.

Colour wise, in the tube it looks almost neon – but on the lips it’s a gorgeous sheer, hot pink. I love how it’s glossy, almost like a really tinted balm rather than a lipstick. I picked the shade ‘Rose Candy’ (shade 314) but there are three shades available – a bright fuscia pink, a bubblegum pink and a coral/peach shade. Rose Candy is the fuscia pink shade.

Because of how it looked in the tube, I genuinely didn’t think I would like it as thought it would be too bright. But it’s so much lighter and more wearable than it looks. I think it’s a perfect day to night lippie, a quick slick is ideal for day – a couple of coats for a stronger pink. Plus, who wouldn’t want to pull this one out and apply on the go. My only tiny wish is that it came in a velvet pouch, which might sound really spoilt princess like, but I just don’t want the gorgeous packaging damaged if I want to carry it around in my bag.

The number one thing this gorgeous lipstick has done is made me want to explore the Lancome brand more. It was one of my favourite brands when I first started to experiment with make-up (I still remember being heart broken when my white Lancome eyeshadow broke…) and I want to rediscover it.

Either a foundation or eye make-up remover are the first on my list, but if there are any products you love to let me know!

Looks lovely, I really like the look of both the bullet and the tube!! Still struggling with Lancome chosing to say “Le French Touch” when even in France people say “La French Touch”.
