L’Oreal Rouge Caresse

L’Oreal recently launched a new range of lip colours – ‘L’Oreal Rouge Caresse’, a moisturising, sheer collection of lip colours – that leave a glossy sheen of colour on the lips. I’ve been playing with shades 501, 301, 03. A nude, a pink and a coral.

The packaging is pretty slick,  like the touch of having the metallic coloured tops so you can see which colour you’re looking for easily. Of the shades, the nude one is very sheer – as to be expected with a nude shade. The pink and the coral are on a par.
They somewhat remind me of the Revlon Lip Butters that recently launched over here – sheer colour, moisturising and creamy… If I had to choose between these or the lip butters, personally I’d choose these – there’s something I love about the lip butters, but in terms of pigmentation and moisturising pay off, these are my choice.

My favourite of the shade is definitely the coral, I love the balance of colour, gloss and moisture – sheer, but not too sheer with a nice warm pinky-coral shade that I find flattering. There’s a hot pink shade in the range that I really want to get my hands on – I do love a neutral lip, but I do need the odd bright lip in my life. 
These are a lovely creamy, moisturising texture – ideal for the sort of person who wants to wear lipstick but is too low maintenance to need to touch up all the time.
