This is the second Marcel Wanders for MAC collection and packaging wise, it’s a stunner. Look at the gorgeous chrome/silver curves and swirly lettering… I love it.
These are more of the items that I received in my LFW goody bag at the MAC masterclass. Of the two, it was definitely the lip gloss (Julia) that caught my eye colour wise – a lovely peachy pink shade with quite a bit of shimmer.
The lipstick (Inez) on the other hand reminds me a bit of the infamous Heather Shimmer from 17 that was popular in the 90’s… a frosty, purple toned shade.
On the lips, the gloss is very sheer and the sparkle is subtle (a good thing) and the lipstick is quite pigmented and the shimmer comes through as quite golden, a lot warmer toned than I thought it would be, but still on the frosty side.
I do like the lipstick and the lip gloss together, but the lipstick on it’s own seems to highlight any flaw on the lips – and make them look more dry/chapped than they actually are.
