I recetly popped along to the Pixi store just off Carnaby street to check out the new Tinkerbell inspired collection. I’m a bit of a Disney die-hard fan, so I was really excited about this collection so really wanted to check out the products.
But before we get to that, here’s the obligatory cupcake shot… I was actually very good and didn’t eat any of these. But they do look damn tasty.
So onto the product, I actually wanted to make sure I checked out some of the core Pixi range too as it’s not a brand I have much experience of – there are some lovely looking bits! If you have tried anything from the brand do leave a comment and let me know what you thought as going to explore a bit.
The centre of the Tinkerbell inspired collection is the Pixi Glow Fairy Face Palette, it’s gorgeous:
Containing a range of nice and neutral eyeshadows and a range of lip colours from a deep wine shade to a baby pink plus a shimmering blusher/highlighter all in a compact with a decent sized mirror – it’s a lovely option for travelling when you don’t want to take too much.
Also in the collection is a Barbie- pink nail colour, I tried this on when I got home from the event and found it a little bit *too* pink for me – it’s bordering on neon. But can see how it will appeal to those that like pink a bit more than me. Somehow I imagine a Tinkerbell polish being either a soft mint green or a shimmering gold… but that’ just me.
There’s also a ‘Fairy Dust’ highlighter product, very pale with a little glowy shimmer. A ‘Straight on until morning’ liner, and a ‘Catching shadows’ crayon and best of all the Magic Think Tint in Happy Thoughts Pink. I love the names, very whimsical! The products overall are all very lovely, but the palette is the real winner of the collection for me. It’s the sort of palette that makes you go ‘oooh’ when you open it – and there isn’t a colour in there that I won’t use.
The Pixi Glow collection is available now from the Pixi Boutique and ASOS. The palette is £32 and the other products range from £8 – 12
