Hyaluronic acid is a genius skincare ingredient for those with dry skin – again, not daring to get all technical – but it basically makes your skin hold on to moisture better than it would without it. It’s a key ingredient in the new Rodial Dragon’s Blood range.
I have to say, overall the way Rodial name’s products does bug me (skin bleach anyone?)… and the name ‘dragon’s blood’ doesn’t really ‘sell’ the product to me either, but putting names aside – I absolutely love this hyaluronic mask from the range.
The texture is very light and gel-like, rather than a thick mask. It actually absorbs easily into skin and rather than using as a leave on/wipe off mask – I’ve been using this as an overnight treatment. I find it moisturises, without feeling heavy or like it’s clogging my skin up at all. A little goes a long way, I’ve been using an amount about the size of a small grape to give my skin a pampering treat. I first used this before I went away, but have used it nightly since coming back from holiday as my skin was feeling extra dehydrated – it’s really sorted it out and it’s feeling pretty good.
Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Mask is available from John Lewis (the mask is £35 for 50ml)
