A look I’ve recently been loving is berry/deep red lips. It’s perfect for the season and it’s the easiest way to look quickly polished and a bit more ‘dressed up’. I find it so handy to have this little look up my sleeve when I have about 30 seconds to get from work to wherever I’m heading in the evening.
My current go-to product for this look is one of the Revlon Lip Stains – the shade ‘Crush’ (you can see it swatched along side the other Lip Stains here) – it’s easy to apply, even if I’m trying to do so when precariously balanced on a busy tube.
What I love about this particular balm stain is that it’s pigmented and once applied can pretty much be forgotten about. The shade lasts really well – it will need re-applying if there’s a fair amount of eating/drinking – but generally this will last all night without the need to retouch.
I love Crush it’s such a gorgeous colour. I find it quite dark on me though, so I prefer applying lip balm first to sheer out the colour. It doesn’t last as long, but it lightens up the colour nicely 🙂
Berry/red lips are my favourite – I’m a sucker for Chanel Rouge Noir, MAC Ruby Woo and Party Line, and Benefit in Espionage. For gloss, I love NARS’ Place Vendôme. It’s such a striking look on you!
I keep eyeing this up. I’ve tried a couple of other colours of these and love them. Berry lips really suit you. x
