Three ways to wear: Bright Pink Jumper

Time for another ‘Three Ways to Wear’ post – I can only speak for myself, but I’m loving putting these posts together as it’s a really great way to force me to look at all contents in my wardrobe and think about them in a slightly different way – and put items together that I might not have though of before…with this post being a perfect example of what I mean!

So the one constant in here is the pink jumper…obviously! So I looked at my wardrobe and pulled together three variations of outfits of how to wear the jumper in different ways. One thing I didn’t include are tights – for me, I’d definitely wear some black opaques with the two skirt/dress options.  Especially in the horrid cold snap we’re having in the UK! But fingers crossed as it gets warmer, the tights wont be essential!

On to a rundown of the outfits – what I’d wear with the pink jumper (from Uniqlo*) that is a perfect Spring knit. It’s a fine knit, really light but amazingly soft and a gorgeous bright pink shade. I went for this in a medium as wanted a slouchy, loose fit – but I do find the Uniqlo sizes run a little large. I bought a dress from the new Celia Birtwell collection at the weekend in a Small and it is borderline too big. So if you’re looking on line – I would suggest don’t size up unless you really are between sizes as they tend to come up larger.

Girly Leather

I love this pleated, black leather-look skirt from Romwe* – I have a similar grey version from Primark that would work just as well. For this I went for the black leather skirt, plus some grey ankle boots from Dorothy Perkins. The white vest stop is just a basic from Topshop  then to top it off I added a spiked necklace from H&M (similar here)

Black and Pink

This is the most simple outfit – I like that having a really simple option in there as that’s my personal style. Keep it simple! I do tend to gravitate towards neutrals if I’m wearing a colour – but it is rare I’ll choose an all black outfit. So just to break this up a little I added a grey clutch and a black and white necklace, both from Primark. The black trousers are a sort of legging/trouser hybrid from Uniqlo* who I’ve been having a bit of a love-fest with recently…! Ooh, and the boots are Faith but I bought them from ASOS , for half price in the sale, but looks like they have some very limited stock left!

Lace with a Twist

Third up is probably my favourite of the three outfits – combining the jumper so it would be layered over a cream lace dress from H&M – this is a dress I absolutely adore. I have it in three four colours (cream, black, lilac and turquoise) and the cream is probably the one I wear most often. To counter the girliness of a cream lace dress with a pink jumper I would add some flat tan ankle boots, a slightly masculine retro-style gold watch and a black and white polka-dot scarf. This is the outfit that would be ideal for Spring when the slightly warmer weather comes for anyone brave enough to get their legs out!

That’s it for another run down of three ways to wear – I hope you enjoyed this post! I totally recommend doing this sort of thing if you’re a blogger, who had those ‘I have nothing to wear…but a wardrobe full of clothes’ moments. This really does help me think of new ways to put things together!

I love the leather look, I need that skirt and jumper in my life. Think I might cave and have to buy a neon jumper!
