A closer look: New from Bourjois

The other day I did a little sneak peek at the very exciting new offerings from Bourjois for Spring/Summer. Slight warning…this is very picture heavy! With swatches of all the products below…get comfy, let’s take a look!

There’s nails, bronzing, new cream blushers (amazing), special packaging for the little round pots and some new glossy additions to the lip range…

Bronzer- BB – Primer

Shade 01 ‘Nude Velvet’, Shade 02 ‘Healthy Glow’, Shade 03 ‘Rose Tender’, Shade 04 ‘Sweet Cherry’

Starting from the top…there’s the new glossy ‘Shine Edition’ lip colours. Following hot on the heels of the amazing Rouge Edition launch, there’s these new glossy Shine Edition shades. Packaging wise these have a chrome shine to them plus gorgeous pop of colour – I’m automatically drawn to the turquoise one purely on a packaging basis. Colour wise, I adore Shade 22 ‘Famous Fuchsia’ – the hot pink. The other two shades Shade 20 is an orange toned red ‘1,2,3 Soleil’ – the ideal summer coral shade, when applied the red is toned down and the orange shade brightens. Then there’s shade 24 ‘Rose XOXO’ which I partly love for the Gossip Girl reference (working my way through the box set as I type’. This looks like a berry shade and when applied looks like a pretty sheer berry toned pink with a hint of shimmer.

There are three cute new additions to the little round blushers with limited edition vintage packaging. Three shades 74, 48, 34 – a peachy rose, bright pink and gold flecked peachy pink (has a touch of the NARS orgasm about it). All very pretty and nice to see a mixture between the matte and the shimmer finishes.

There are the three new bronzing shades – in three textures, which is really good to see such variety at an affordable price. Especially to see the Chanel-esque dupe in there… a typical powder bronzer, large enough to use all over the body and with a hint of shimmer for some glow. Then there’s the bronzing BB cream – a sheer gel that’s creamy and light at the same time. It is quite a dark shade, I need to have a bit of abase tab before I can use this all over the face but then using a little on the cheeks and other sun-catching spots would be lovely. Then there’s the star of the collection – the bronzing primer. It’s a thick gel/mousse type texture that’s matte and very similar to the Chanel Bronze Universel. This is definitely something unique to the high street beauty market and very exciting!

Then there’s the new cream blushers. I am a sucker for a cream blush so these are also really exciting for me. There are four shades varied from a pale peachy pink to a deeper rose shade. Shade 01 ‘Nude Velvet’ – a pale peachy pink, Shade 02 ‘Healthy Glow’ – my personal favourite coral, Shade 03 ‘Rose Tender’ – a pinky rose shade and Shade 04 ‘Sweet Cherry’ the slightly deeper rose. As a paler skinned one my personal loves are shades 01 and 02.

Then last but by no means least we have the nail shades – the 1 Seconde Gel Nails with a coral, a bright mint and a sky blue. All perfect Spring/Summer shades…gorgeous!
