A little late, but here’s the final in my series of lipstick posts about the Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks I have in my collection – and this one has to be the ‘safest’ of the bunch! Once there was a time when out of the selection I’ve been showing this would be the only one I would wear, but now after the bright colour pop after bright colour pop, it almost feels like this one is missing something!
So this is Maybelline Sweet Pink – it’s a nude with a slight pink tone to it. But very much in the neutral camp. It applies creamy but feels a little sheer – as a lot of nudes can, it can be hard to tell the difference between my natural lip colour and the lipstick. So this does fall into that old cliche of ‘my lips, but better’. Like the others this feels really comfortable to wear and is really moisturising. Definitely a good ‘every day’ lipstick.
It has the faintest of shimmers to it – not in any way frosty, but ads a little dimension to the lips that can be really flattering if you don’t have a full pout! But definitely wouldn’t say it’s at all a shimmery lipstick – just has that slight ‘glow’ to it.
Overall, it’s a lovely day to day colour – but along side the brights I’ve tried previously it doesn’t get me quite as excited to wear!
Will pop up a quick round up post of all the shades I’ve tried and links to each proper review shortly so you can compare the shades side by side! I want to know which is the favourite!
