REN is one of my personal favourite skincare brands – one of few that every single product I have tried has really impressed me. Which kinda spoils the suspense of this review a bit… but yes, this Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is the latest product I have been trying from the brand and I really like it!
Firstly, I would call this a ‘morning’ mask – in my mind there are two types of masks, the ones you use in the morning, that are quick, easy and leave skin looking a bit more glowing and healthy immediately after – so are perfect for use before you head out to face the world! This is one of those. The other sort of mask is the evening one – that maybe deep cleanses, or offers loads of hydration – so it’s best to use and then leave your skin clear afterwards, overnight. Sort of like the morning ones are quick fixes and the night time ones are a bit more pampering.
The texture is a bit of a sticky-ish gel, that you slather all over your face, leave for a while and then use a cloth to remove (flannel or muslin – either works, but it comes with a little muslin cloth in the box).
I find this leaves my skin perked up, hydrated and helps remove any dry or dull patches. This is perfect after a late night to give skin an all-round refresh and counter any signs that might giveaway the lack of sleep!
Really loving this as a great quick-fix to make my skin look a bit perkier and alive in the mornings! Another winner from REN – oh, and one other thing I like about it, the packaging – some masks can be really messy to use – but the pump on this means it’s both easy and clean to use, and also that it’s more hygienic than a tube or a tub.
