Nails are EVERYWHERE this year, in case you haven’t noticed. It seems the world and his wife have a nail range and if they didn’t then they will have soon. Nails are where it’s at – and I can see why! Nails have over taken lipstick as the number one product in the beauty market for good reason. Can you think of a quicker and easier way to update a look without having to buy a whole new wardrobe?
Plus now that nails have moved well on from the days of colour choices extending from baby pink to red, the world is your oyster when it comes to colour choice. If you can dream it, you can pretty much find it and paint it on your nails. The latest brand to jump on the nails wagon is skincare favourite, Liz Earle…
And I have to say, I’m impressed – formula wise, these are pretty fabulous. Very creamy and pigmented and easy to apply. Dry quickly and only two coats needed for the two shades I’ve been playing with. Overall, nothing not to like about them! They are also five-free, so there’s no formaldehyde, DBP, toluene, formaldehyde resin or camphor in them. So again, the ‘healthy’ nail varnish fits well with the brand.
Colour range wise, there are 12 shades so it’s not the most extensive out there – mostly ‘safe’ colours. Nudes, pinks, corals, reds – a couple of darker shades. But it’s not the place to go if you’re looking for a bright blue or a neon. But much like you wouldn’t think Liz Earle if you wanted a blue mascara or neon pink blusher. The colour range is simple and in the natural family but suits the brand perfectly.
Price wise, they’re a really reasonable £7.50 – I think a really good mid-range price. Not cheap, but not post-£10 mark either so feels more like an affordable treat than splashing out.
They’re launching end of the month (29th August)
