Rimmel Apocalips: New Shades

Apocalips are basically the most amazing drugstore lip product I’ve tried – creamy, amazing colours and intense pigment. So when there were three new shades hitting shelves, I was pretty excited.

These are that happy medium between lipstick and gloss – plus they have quite nice packaging. These are just three of the shades but worth taking a closer peek at:

L_R: Shooting Star, Eclipse and Aurora

The best thing about Apocalips is the price – under £5, at just £4.99 – they’re amazing value. Of these three new shades my favourite is the bright rose Aurora – a gorgeous bright shade. The nude Shooting Star is pretty, but it does depend on what your colouring is as to wether it might suit or not! Then there’s the fab deep, dark, berry shade of Eclipse – I love this, but just not sure I have the guts to wear it with the confidence you need for this sort of colour.

What do you think of Rimmel Apocalips? Do you have a fave shade?!

Available from Boots (£4.99)

I just picked up my first a few weeks ago! (But they’ve been called show off lip lacquers in the US) and I’m so hooked already. I love the look of eclipse but it was sold out (or not stocked yet) so I opted for Nova, a really pretty bright pink.

I keep wanting to try the Apocalips line, but forget to look for it every time I’m in the drugstore. I’m pretty sure they have a different name here in Canada … does anyone know what it’s called here?

I love these too, Im not really into glosses, usually stick to stains and lipsticks but these are amazing. However I find the smell of these is a bit off putting, what do you think?

I need Eclipse in my life! I love the formula of these anyway and that colour is just perfect.

I think I will finally try out these lip products… I’m trying to find a good glossy stain product that will last for hours so I don’t need to touch up! I just did a blog post on the Topshop Gloss Inks which I thought would be similar to Rimmel’s Apocalips but I don’t think the pigmentation is quite there….
