I’ve had these three variants of Michael Kors Fragrance in the collection for quite some time now – but slow blogger me is only just getting around to blogging about them. When it comes to Michael Kors, the first thing I think of isn’t fragrance of make-up, but watches – I absolutely love Michael Kors watches and have a fair collection of them (four at the moment). But whilst I love the watches, it was through those that I was drawn into the brand of glossy-gold fabulousness and it’s continued to win me over.
The three fragrances link directly to the three ‘looks’ of the Michael Kors make-up collection with a ‘Sexy’, a ‘Glam’ and a ‘Sporty’ variant. I think the link between the fragrance and the personality/description work means people can easily feel liket they identify with one of the fragrances or looks – without even looking at or smelling the product. This is both a good and a bad thing – there’s the impulsive element that could mean you end up with something that maybe isn’t quite as ‘you’ as you thought – or there’s the instinctive part that can lead you to the perfect match.
The fragrances are quite simple really – with each one clearly identifying it’s heart note as part of the name – there’s ‘Sexy Amber’. ‘Sporty Citrus’ and ‘Glam Jasmine’. My gut feeling told me that I would be the ‘Sporty Citrus’ of the three (I can pretty much hear my friends snorting at the ‘sporty’ bit from here…’. But I know I do like citrus fragrances and tend to like to keep things fresh over sexy/floral.
But, that’s where the intuitive based on the naming and the one my nose actually likes differs… on sniffing them I leant towards the Glam Jasmine fragrance of the three.
As I said, all three are nice and simple scents – ones that you can spritz on in the day and not feel overpowered or like you’re wasting precious elixir. Regardless of the names, they all feel on the casual side – so more like a ‘sexy’ jeans and t-shirt than ‘sexy’ ball gown…in my opinion at least!
What’s your view on Michael Kors… tempted to sniff out the fragrances?

I got my other half to buy me Glam Jasmine for Christmas and I have to say that I love it more now I have it but I don’t wear it as often as I want as I alternate between this and Ghost by Ghost.
