It’s been a bit of a hectic weekend and so I felt some Sunday night pamper time was very much in order. So I reached for this to give it a whirl and decided it needed writing about straight away. I am a huge fan of Aromatherapy Associates – especially the bath and shower oil range. Their deluxe set they do each Christmas is always top of my list – and is the ‘library’ of bath oils I reach for as there’s always one that matches how I’m feeling (deep relax is my favourite). This Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength oil though is something a bit different – and it makes it even more special than just a lovely bath-time addition.
The oil was created by Geraldine Howard – co-founder and president of Aromatherapy Associates during a period of her life that she felt she needed to find her own inner strength. But not just the sort of inner strength of a bad day at work or a grumpy mood – this was created when Geraldine was in the middle of treatment for cancer. The oil includes clary sage, cardamon and frankincense – a combination created for an uplifting experience.
Furthermore, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the oil will be donated to the Defence Against Cancer Foundation – who are helping to pioneer a new cancer vaccine treatment. Something which Geraldine is currently a patient of.
Now a hectic weekend pales in comparison to the inspiration behind this oils creation – but regardless, it’s a pretty special blend – heady, relaxing and refreshing all at the same time. For whatever reason you might feel you need to focus and regather your thoughts and generally have a bit of a personal re-group. This is a lovely oil to do so with – and hopefully hearing the story behind it will help give it another little boost for you too.
