Barry M Matte Nail Paint Summer Collection

Barry M have the new launches coming out thick and fast at the moment! Especially when it comes to their nail colours – this is the latest collection of Mate Nail Paint shades from the brand and they’re pretty perfect for Summer with such a mix of bright, colour pop shades! With everything from pink to lime green in there – as long as you’re not afraid of colour then there’s likely to be a shade or two in there that catches your eye.

I’ve said it before and will again, but to me one of the things I actually quite like about a matte shade is that it can be worn two ways – glossy, or matte. Just use alone for the matte finish, or pop a glossy top coat (Seche Vite being my constant top coat of choice) over and voila – a glossy version of the same shade. The matte finish on these is a sort of satin matte, not totally and utterly shine free but with a subtle sheen instead of a glossy shine.

Colour wise, we have (from left to right): Miami (bright pink), Waikiki (lime green), Rhossili (deeep purple), Cancun (teal) ,Copa Cabana (hot red), Malibu (blue).

My personal picks? Miami, Copa Cobana and Malibu. I do love a bright, Miami is probably my top favourite though as it’s a shade of pink that I definitely don’t already have where the blue and red are pretty dupable. The easiest to work with finish wise was Copa Cabana or Rhiossili and Waikiki was the hardest (needed three coats to get the even finish).
