Lipstick in crayon form is far from a new idea now in the beauty world, but one I am a big fan of. It’s just so much more straight forward than a lipstick – the finer point means detail is just as easy as filling in the lips. Basically meaning if I can apply it on the tube then it’s a winner for me – and so I really like the crayon style lip colours. The ones I’m taking a look at today are these from Lord & Berry – six shades of Lord & Berry Twistick.
Going from girly pink, to tomato read and 90’s brown and a few in between there’s a good range of shades here in these six. There were a couple of immediate stand outs for me and some that won me over on swatching and a couple that I just know aren’t for me. The shades are as follows:
Pink Mania – Baby Pink
Rock & Rose – Bright Pink
Must Have – 90’s Brown-toned nude (very on trend!)
Arizona – Orange toned red
Shut Up – Berry pinky purple
On Stage – Rosey/dusky pink
My top pick is the gorgeous Rock & Rose – a stunning bright pink shade that totally has me won over. Then there’s Arizona – I am a sucker for an orange red shade. Personally the only ones I’d skip are the shades Must Have and On Stage – purely because they’re not shades that really suit my skin tone and colouring all that much.
Lord & Berry has other lip products in the range that are also in crayon form – in matte or lipstick formulas. These are meant to be the more ‘crayon/balm’ like ones but the pigment is really impressive for that sort of difference. They do feel hydrating and creamy but also nicely pigmented. These are great Summer lipsticks, should I head to any festivals later in the year then Arizone or Rock & Rose will be 100% coming with me for on the go easy bright lips.
