Tan Organic Tanning Oil

Bizarre as this may sound, my first Tan Organic Tanning Oil ‘experience’ was outside Starbucks at the top of Carnaby Street opposite Liberty. But fear not, I did not strip down to paper pants in a busy London street. My quest for beauty loves has not gone quite that far yet – but I met Noelle O’Connor, the founder of the brand and she insisted on giving the tan a go right there and then. I was a tad wary, thinking I might end up with a deep dark tanned single arm – but her enthusiasm won me over and next thing I know I had my sleeve rolled up and she was applying the oil to my arm. And you know what – it was seriously amazing.

If you like your tan to be easy to apply, quick to dry and natural looking and have dry skin. Then this tanning option is for you. It couldn’t be much easier in terms of application. Simply buff/exfoliate before (they have a great buffing mitt that helps you shed dry skin in a somewhat gross but effective way – you can see the dry skin ‘flake’ off like a fine mist of dandruff) then add a touch of the Body Oil to dry bits to prevent the colour gripping too much there. Then apply the oil all over. Just make sure you’re all covered – if you are worried you might miss a spot then you can try the Self Tan version which is a tinted liquid that has a slightly highter active concentration so will develop a slightly darker tan. Personally though, I LOVE the oil.

Am actually typing this out bright and early on Saturday morning (although will be scheduled to go live in a few days) as I’m about to jump in the shower to get ready for my hen weekend in Brighton. When I thought of last moment¬†beauty prep I planned to use the oil and realised I hadn’t blogged it and immediately needed to rectify (and probably be late to get ready in the process – but blogging needs must…)

I’ve never had a oil tanner before and I’ve never had a mistake with this one. Best part – you can apply in the morning with zero risk of dodgy smells and as yet, no tanning errors. Happy days. The colour for the tanning oil is on the paler side of the false tan world – maybe edging towards a few days of gradual tanning level rather than full blown tan. But for paler girls it’s lovely – a happy middle ground between a dark fake tan and a light gradual tan.

If you like your tanning easy and error proof – you need to try this. Oh, and as the name implies it’s organic – so if that’s something important to you then definitely check it out. But from a totally shallow good-tanning perspective – this is fab.

Ooh I have a bottle of this which I’m yet to try – intrigued by the sound of an oil tanner too!

I’ve looked at this so many times as I’m quite the tan addict… It’s such an interesting concept!
