There are two hair brands that I mainly keep going back to because they just smell SO DARN GOOD. Those two are Herbal Essences (the original shampoo that they re-launched last year is one of my all time favourite scents) and the other is Aussie Haircare. I can never remember which one, but one of the three minute miracle conditioners is so good I would sometimes just keep giving the bottle a good sniff. SO good. Well, those clever people clearly know this as they’re branching out from hair and have launched Aussie Body Wash.
There are two variants I’ve been trying, but I believe there are four in total – the two not shown here being ‘Shower Smoothie’ and ‘Fresh Mate’. But the two I have and my thoughts, below:
Aussie Mega Watt Body Wash: Described as ‘for skin that needs a bit of a boost’ this is the one I’ve been using most often. Who doesn’t need a bit of an extra ‘pow’ wake-up call to their morning. This one contains Australian Ginseng extract which is known as a bit of a waker-upper. It doesn’t smell zingy/citrussy as you might expect from a morning shower gel. It’s sweeter and has that something that reminds me of the hair care range. Sweet but fresh at the same time.
Aussie No Rush Body Wash: I’ve been cheating a bit and popping a few dollops of this in the bath as well as using as a body wash. Works surprisingly well actually. This one is all about taking your time and being pampered. It contains Australia Jojoba seed oil and the smell – is hard to put my finger on. Again, reminds me of the hair care but in a softer way. It’s sort of sweet with something soft and creamy about it. Very hard to describe.
For me these two sort of sum up a morning and an evening option for a body wash. Both lovely and mainly because the smell is really enjoyable to use.
